  15. This package is for use with DOS 3.30 or later, or in a suitable DOS
  16. session under a multitasking system (including IBM OS/2 2.0 or later);
  17. preferably at least 256 KB free memory (1 KB = 1024 bytes).

  19. This zipfile, FWKLU205.ZIP, is a kit for users who wish to use only the
  20. remote Lookup and remote cross_reference features of the FWKCS Contents_
  21. Signature System.  This package is smaller, for your convenience, but it
  22. runs the same kernel and, for this reason, has the same (low) price as for
  23. private personal use of the main FWKCS(TM) Contents_Signature System.
  24.  
  25. Provided that no fee is charged for the use, copying, or distribution; and
  26. provided that they are not modified in any way; then you may freely
  27. distribute this package, solely in its original Authenticity Verification
  28. Zipfile named FWKLU205.ZIP with AV code =
  29.     "# OFT466   Frederick W. Kantor (founder/information mechanics)" .

  31. You may test this material at no fee before registering it. To run an
  32. unregistered copy, keep a copy of REGISTER.FRM in the same directory with
  33. FWKCS.EXE.  The suggested test time is up to 30 days.  If for use in a
  34. public, commercial, school, institutional, or governmental environment,
  35. then this no_fee test period shall not be more than 45 days.

  55.      REGISTER.DOC for explanation of prices, and for information about
  56.                   how to get new releases of FWKCS(TM) software.

  59.                   FWKCS.EXE.

  61. You can use the remote Lookup to help find the missing files that go with a
  62. single file you have, by doing a remote Lookup and calling one of the giant
  63. BBS's that run FWKCS(TM). For example, if you want to find the .DOCs that go
  64. with a game, there's a good chance that Lookup and a call to one of those
  65. giant BBS's can find for you the name of the zipfile which contains that
  66. whole set of files.  Even if the name of the file you have was changed,
  67. Lookup can still be used.  Then, just download that whole zipfile...
  68.  
  69. If you are a BBS operator, Lookup helps you use tens of Gigabytes of
  70. collected files to support your users's special requests. Your BBS's users
  71. can call you locally at low speed -- you use your high_speed modem to get
  72. what they needed -- letting you devote more of your resources to the kinds
  73. of files you especially want to work with. Then, if you run FWKCS(TM), you
  74. could become a preferred resource for that special area of work that you
  75. like.

  92. information about registering FWKLU(TM) and FWKCS(TM), and about how to
  93. get new versions of FWKCS.

  95. Experimental data has shown that the contents_signature system used by this
  96. remote Lookup capability has provided a typical pair_wise statistical error
  97. rate of less than one part in ten trillion. (This test data is included in
  98. FWKCS205.REF, in the main FWKCS205.ZIP package.)

  100. If you wish later to do a full FWKCS system installation, REGISTER.DOC
  101. contains information about how to get the current release.
